In the nineteen eighties a group of Egyptian nationals comprising former senior officials, educators, businessmen & industrialists formed the foundation of new urban communities, a non-profit Organization, aimed at helping the government & the private sector in reclaiming the vast desert areas of Egypt, The group soon recognized the need for engineering education of a special nature that would be located in the new urban communities & geared at satisfying the needs of the growing industrialization & construction efforts in these communities. In 1988 the higher technological institute (HTI) opened its doors to new students as the first private university level institute for engineering educational in Egypt The new Institute was born strong and grew quickly in quality and reputation. Now, more than twenty years after its inception it has become the most sought after private engineering institute in the country.

I am pleased to welcome you to the ancient edifice of the Higher Technological Institute on the 10th of Ramadan - Marsa Matruh branch, which was born from the womb of the mother institute on the 10th of Ramadan. It gives me great pleasure to extend my warmest welcome to: - Prof. Dr. Jamal Muhammad Hashem, Dean of the Institute. - Prof. Essam Khalifa, Vice Dean of the Institute for Education and Student Affairs. Prof. Dr. Essam Abdel-Aty, Vice-Dean of the Institute for Environmental Affairs and Community Service. I also extend my warm welcome to all my fellow faculty members and supporting staff... and to all the gentlemen who are members of the Institute... and to all my sons and daughters, male and female students at the Matruh branch. The Institute strives to focus on spreading the culture of scientific research, innovation and creativity, providing all student activities that distinguish its students, participating in various competitions of Egyptian universities, and achieving advanced positions that place the Institute at the forefront of universities and higher institutes. The institute is distinguished by having highly qualified faculty members who work in a team spirit, cooperation and harmony, with the aim of graduating groups of students that match the needs and requirements of the labor market. The institute also features teaching summer training during the summer semester to its students so that students can apply theoretical study in a practical way. In conclusion, we pray to God to grant us success and crown our efforts to provide good service to our students, and to work diligently and proficiently in order to help students and encourage them to raise their academic level of education to prepare them for the needs and requirements of the labor market. May God help us to serve our dear homeland, beloved Egypt.

An overview of department tasks
  1. Paying all financial dues to: - Faculty members and employees of the institute - students - external parties and suppliers This is after ensuring that all procedures and rules are followed in light of the regulating laws, the Institute’s regulations, and the decisions of the Board of Directors and the Dean of the Institute.
  2. Preparing budgets and final accounts on 8/31 of each year, the end of the institute’s financial year. The financial positions, reports, and financial statements required in a timely manner, as well as the estimated budgets and financial plans necessary for decision makers at the institute.
  3. Review and follow up on cash receipts from students’ tuition fees

  • The necessity of approving any amounts required to be disbursed from the accounts from the competent authorities in accordance with the established authorizations
